I bought a 3d printer

That's right. It's not a very fancy one. In fact it's a reasonably priced makerbot replicator dual clone, known as the fastforge creator.

I've had it about a week, and after playing around with various setting and whatnot I am finally getting the hang of how to get good prints.
Some filament clips and a small bowl.

Turns out there is a local store, still a 4-5 hour drive each way, but I'd still call it local. 3dprintergear.com.au They have a wide rang, and a decent price. Shipping was also very fast and affordable.
Green: Flex PLA, Blue: Filaflex, Yellow: ABS
I've got a small assortment of filament now to keep my experiments going. For now I'm just printing items from thingiverse. But someday soon I will be designing my own prints. Hopefully it turns out to be a good investment.
